April, 2007:  For the fourth year in a row, Joan Love won her division in the Masters competition of the U.S. Senior National Judo Championships. 



 Norwich Judo Dojo students (ages 6-16) joined with players from five other CT judo clubs to form the Junior Judo League.  Each month, the clubs paired up in different combinations   for an informal team competition and workout.





Four of our regular high school students served as “buddies” for our guests, who learned some basic judo throws and matwork, and had a great time.

June 2007:  several of our adult students attended a Nage-no-Kata clinic at New London County Judo Club in Montville, CT, with clinician Ken Durand.

Norwich Judo Dojo welcomes some special guests


After attending a USABA (U.S. Association of Blind Athletes) judo coaching certification clinic, Joan Love invited a local social group of visually impaired middle/high school students to a special introductory judo class.  In December 2006, they visited Norwich Judo Dojo.
